Admission is conducted through three pathways: SNBP (National Selection Based on Academic Achievement), SNBT (National Selection Based on Entrance Examination), and the independent admission pathway, Universitas Padjadjaran Admission Selection (SMUP).

Each academic year admits 600 students.

Graduate Programs (Master’s and Doctoral Degrees)

  1. Admission for Master’s and Doctoral programs at Universitas Padjadjaran is conducted through the Universitas Padjadjaran Admission Selection (SMUP).
  2. The selection process consists of administrative screening and an interview examination.
  3. Online registration and completion of the SMUP application form can be carried out after applicants have completed the selection fee payment

The Master’s programs in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Soil Science, and Agricultural Science admit new students in both the odd (first) and even (second) semesters.

Special Requirements

  1. Students from non-agriculture-related fields are required to take matriculation or additional courses, including (but not limited to):
  • Fundamental of Plant Science (Dasar Ilmu Tanaman – DIT)
  • Fundamental of Crop Production Technology (Dasar Teknologi Produksi Tanaman – DTPT)
  • Crop Production Engineering (Rekayasa Teknologi Produksi Tanaman – RTPT) or other relevant courses supporting the thesis (sit-in).
  1. Must pass a color vision test.

Accepts graduates holding a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in:

  • Agribusiness,
  • Agrotechnology,
  • Management,
  • Development Economics, or
  • Communication,
  • as well as graduates of the Applied Bachelor’s Degree (Sarjana Terapan) in Agrotechnopreneur.
  1. Must pass a color vision test.

Doctoral candidates who hold a master’s degree from a different field of study must take 6 additional credits (SKS) during the first or second semester from relevant courses at the Master’s Program of the Faculty of Agriculture, as advised by the main supervisor (Promoter). If necessary, students may also attend other courses (sit-in) at the Master’s level with approval from the supervisor.

Requirements

The requirements and terms for applicants of the SMUP Independent Selection for Academic Programs (Undergraduate/Bachelor’s Degree) and Vocational Programs (Applied Bachelor’s Degree) under the SMUP Examination Scheme 2026 are as follows:

    1. Applicants must be Indonesian citizens.
    2. Applicants must be graduates of Senior High School (SMA)/ Islamic Senior High School (MA)/ Vocational High School (SMK) in 2024, 2025, or 2026, or Package C (equivalency) students, with a maximum age of 22 years as of 1 July 2026.
    3. Each applicant may choose both Academic Programs (Bachelor’s Degree) and Vocational Programs (Applied Bachelor’s Degree).
    4. Each applicant is allowed to select a maximum of four (4) study programs, consisting of: two (2) Academic Programs (Bachelor’s Degree), and two (2) Vocational Programs (Applied Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma IV), in accordance with the provisions listed in the Academic and Vocational Program tables.
    5. The order of selected study programs indicates the applicant’s priority of choice.
    6. Admission decisions are based on the highest scores, in accordance with the quota (capacity) of each study program.
    7. The application fee is IDR 300,000 Applicants who are later accepted and approved as KIP-K recipients will have the application fee refunded.

In determining admitted students, the Selection Committee will consider the following:

    1. Previous academic performance
    2. Scores of the Academic Ability Test and the English Language Proficiency Test
    3. Motivation and academic potential, as reflected in the Statement of Purpose and interview results

Requirements

  1. Applicants must be Indonesian citizens or foreign nationals.
  2. Applicants must hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from programs accredited by BAN-PT or the relevant Accreditation Body (LAM-PTKes).
  3. Applicants must possess a valid Academic Ability Test (TKA) certificate issued by the Center for Psychological Innovation, Universitas Padjadjaran (PIP Unpad) with a minimum score of 500, or an Academic Potential Test (TPA) certificate issued by other officially recognized institutions acknowledged by Unpad, namely: PLTI HIMPSI, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Universitas Indonesia (UI), BAPPENAS.

Notes:

  • Applicants who submit English proficiency certificates or TOEFL scores from institutions not listed above will require a longer verification process (more than one month) with the official test providers. As a result, eligible applicants may not be invited for interviews in the selection session or intake period in which they apply.
  • Applicants who are not eligible for interview in a particular selection session will be considered in the next selection session, provided that the required documents have been corrected or completed. No additional application fee will be charged as long as the application remains within the same intake period.
  • Applicants who have scientific publications in reputable international journals (Q3) based on SJR: Scientific Journal Rankings – SCImago, as the first author, are not required to submit or upload TPA and English proficiency (TKBI) scores at the time of application.

  2. Applicants must submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation;
  3. Applicants must submit a Statement of Purpose;
