To support the implementation of the education process, the Faculty of Agriculture at Padjadjaran University is equipped with various facilities for lecture, practical, and research activities. Lecture and research facilities are located on the Unpad Jatinangor campus, while experimental fields are located in Arjasari and Ciparay in the Bandung Regency.

Buildings

The Faculty of Agriculture is located in the campus area of Padjadjaran University in Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency. Currently, the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) at Padjadjaran University manages six buildings with a total area of 11,724 m2. These buildings are designated for classrooms, faculty rooms, administrative offices, laboratories, meeting rooms, and other purposes. Meanwhile, for research, practical activities, and extracurricular events, Faperta Unpad has facilities such as experimental gardens, plazas, and fields.
Out of the total area mentioned above, 9,195.92 m2 is utilized for classrooms, laboratories, faculty rooms, administrative offices, library space, and other areas. When considering the ideal ratio of building area to students, which is 1 student per 6 m2, the required building area is 2,300 students x 6 m2 = 13,800 m2. Although not ideal, the current building area is considered sufficient compared to the number of students.
The presence of these building facilities strongly supports the teaching and learning process. Out of the total building area in Faperta Unpad, 9,195.92 m2 is used for classrooms, faculty rooms, laboratories, administrative offices, library space, and more. Considering the ideal ratio of building area to students (1:6), the required building area is 13,800 m2. With the existing building area, teaching and learning activities can be carried out effectively. In addition to the mentioned buildings, Faperta Unpad also utilizes classroom spaces in the Joint Lecture Building, managed directly by Unpad.

Experimental Fields and Greenhouses

The Faculty of Agriculture at Padjadjaran University, in fulfilling its role as a quality educational institution, possesses facilities that support the activities of faculty, students, and the community. To support these activities, Faperta Unpad manages experimental fields and other supporting lands. Faperta Unpad oversees experimental gardens located in Arjasari, Bandung Regency, Ciparay, Bandung Regency, Ciparanje, Sumedang Regency, and experimental gardens (Greenhouses) situated around the Faperta Unpad campus in Jatinangor. These experimental gardens and greenhouses are utilized for practical activities, research, and student activities.

Laboratories

The presence of laboratory facilities significantly supports the teaching and learning activities at Faperta Unpad. The laboratories owned by Faperta Unpad are listed in the table below. These laboratories are typically utilized for practical activities, lectures, and research. Some laboratories have engaged in the development of related scientific fields, such as:

Development of in vitro culture techniques in tissue culture laboratories,
Production of natural pesticides in plant pest laboratories,
DNA analysis, genetic engineering, and plant analysis in plant analysis laboratories, and
Soil science laboratories related to the development of beneficial microorganisms in agriculture.

Additionally, there are computer laboratory facilities that can be used for lectures related to mastering software for data analysis, Microsoft Office, and other activities such as searching and completing students’ daily assignments.
In general, the supporting facilities can be considered quite adequate. Nevertheless, the addition and improvement of equipment and facilities continue to be carried out through collaborative activities, competitive research funds obtained by faculty members, and competitive management and educational improvement programs such as the Semi QUE grant program, SP4, A2, A3, or B programs.
