Extraction and characterization of humic acid from low-rank coal mined reserves in South Sumatra and its application on red chili (Capsicum annuum L.) in fertilizer exhausted soil

Fertilizer exhausted soil” investigates the potential of humic acid, extracted from coal reserves, as a soil enhancer.
The findings of this paper are highly relevant to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By rejuvenating depleted soil and promoting the growth of a food crop, the research directly supports SDG 12 : Responsible Consumption and Production by repurposing a byproduct of mining (low-rank coal) into a useful agricultural input, reducing waste and promoting a more circular economy.
