Daffa Putra Ivory and Aliyya Khaerunnisa, students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, had the opportunity to participate in the Winter Internship Program Batch 2026 at Seiwa Co., Ltd., located in Shimotsuke City, Japan. The internship was conducted from January 12 to February 14, 2026, as part of a collaboration between Seiwa Company Limited and the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran.
During the program, the interns were involved in various activities related to horticultural cultivation in a modern greenhouse system, particularly focusing on strawberries and tomatoes. Their activities included observing plant growth, performing plant maintenance, and learning about environmental management in the greenhouse to maintain optimal conditions for plant development.
Through this experience, the students were able to directly observe the implementation of modern agricultural technologies to improve productivity and crop quality. The program also provided valuable insights into the potential application of greenhouse technology for agricultural development in Indonesia while enhancing the students’ international exposure and practical agricultural skills.
