Electric Vehicles for Energy Security and Emission Reduction in Indonesia
This study evaluates the sustainability of electric vehicles (EVs) as a strategy to enhance Indonesia’s energy security while lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Findings confirm that EV adoption significantly reduces dependence on fossil fuels and promotes cleaner energy solutions. This aligns strongly with SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). By analyzing environmental, economic, and policy aspects, the research provides crucial insights into Indonesia’s transition toward a greener transport system. EV deployment not only addresses urban air pollution but also contributes to long-term national energy independence.
