The diversity and number of these beetles in single-crop (monoculture) versus multi-crop (polyculture) vegetable fields.
<\/strong>By showing that polyculture systems support a greater abundance and diversity of Staphylinidae beetles\u2014which are natural predators of agricultural pests\u2014the study provides a scientific basis for promoting farming practices that protect and enhance ecosystem health. This directly contributes to the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. It also connects to SDG 2: Zero Hunger by exploring a natural pest control method, which can help increase crop yields in a sustainable way.
