Students of the Agrotechnology Study Program at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) have successfully implemented an innovative solution to help address the livestock feed crisis in the Tampomas area. This time, their efforts targeted the Simpay Tampomas Livestock Group in Sumedang Regency. Through the Student Creativity Program (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa\/PKM), they introduced hydroponic technology for livestock feed production. This technology serves as an alternative to forage, which has become scarce due to land degradation following mining activities.<\/p>\n\n\n

The adoption of a hydroponic system enables farmers to produce high-quality feed independently. This feed not only improves the nutritional content and health of goats but also leads to higher-quality milk and increased farmers\u2019 income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative represents a concrete implementation of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals<\/strong>. Together with the students, Unpad has not only transferred technology but also fostered strong collaboration with local communities. This partnership demonstrates that cross-sectoral approaches are key to creating positive and sustainable change at the community level(rural engagement<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
